‘As Buddha held a lotus toward the people, only his disciple Kasyapa understood the profound meaning and smiled. In response, the Buddha entrusted him with the ’Dharma Eye Treasury’ the true teaching of the mind’s original virture and the subtle mind of Nirvana, which is a realization of truth free from worldly delusions. He also transmitted the ‘true form of formless’, the unchanging reality and ‘subtle Dharma’, the awakened mind that perceives ultimate truth.
